DDR2 and DDR3 versions

In order to nicely fill out the entry-level market with some DirectX 11 capable hardware, Sapphire has released a total of four different HD 5450 cards. All of the announced Sapphire HD 5450 cards feature the same reference clocks, a low profile PCB with a single slot heatsink for cooling and come with DVI, D-Sub and HDMI or DisplayPort outputs.

The new Sapphire HD 5450 cards will be available with either 512MB of DDR2 or DDR3 memory, and as a 1GB DDR2 version, working at 800MHz for the DDR2 and 1600MHz for DDR3 memory. The cards are based on 40nm Cedar GPU working at 650MHz and feature support for DirectX 11, ATI's UVD, Stream and Eyefinity.

The difference between the models is in memory amount and output configurations as Sapphire decided to launch two 512MB DDR3 versions, one with HDMI and one with DisplayPort output and two 1GB versions with etiher GDDR3 memory or DDR2 memory and HDMI outputs.

Currently the only listed models are with 512MB of GDDR3 and 1GB of GDDR3 memory, both featuring the HDMI output and a price starting at €43.46 for the first one and €50.61 for the 1GB version.

You can find them listed here.
