Looks like an 8800 GT

Expreview has gotten their hands on a GeForce 9600 GT card, and it although there's only a single picture of the card, it doesn't look that different from the 8800 GT, as it seems to be using the same cooling solution.

They ran 3DMark 06 on the card, although they used a modified driver, so expect to take the benchmark numbers with a pinch of salt. However, if we're to believe these numbers, it looks like the 9600 GT will offer some terrific bang for the buck, as it scored no less than 10,357 points. That's almost the same as the 8800 GS and a mere 2,000 points less than a stock clocked 8800 GT.

The good news is that the card is using a 256-bit memory interface as expected, so the mid-range cards have finally gotten that performance boost they needed. Let's hope Nvidia doesn't sit too long on these cards and that the final retail price will be right.
