Computex 08: No quad for the people

It looks that GT200-based Geforce GTX 280 and 260 will have support for dual-SLI and even 3-way SLI, but as you can imagine it will be rather hard to put four of these cards inside of any board / case.

3-way SLI sounds good enough and you will need a 780i or 790i board to make it happen. Be prepared that you will need a strong power supply for such a task.

At current motherboards there is no way for a 4-way SLI, but I guess we were ready for that since we’ve learned that GTX 280 is a single-chip card. Keep in mind that Geforce GTX 280 and 260 are dual-slot cards and that they would need a lot of power, but spacing would be the major issue to put four of them on any any motherboard.
