Cebit 2009: GTX 260 with 1792MB of memory

MSI has also showcased its newest Lightning series graphics card based on Nvidia's GTX 260 GPU. The pictured card is a prototype and the final card will feature a dual fan cooler and a different, black PCB.

The specs include a new non-reference PCB that will feature 8+2 power phase design, native HDMI output, and 1792MB of GDDR3 memory. The dual fans on the card will show real time temperature and fan speeds. One feature that has caught our eye comes from MSI engineers that have attended recent overclocking events organized by the company, so the new Lightning series graphics cards will have marked pin headers for voltage measurement.

On the photos you can also see the Airforce control panel that will probably be bundled with this card. This add-on will have some neat features, such as voltage and clock settings for Lightning series cards as well as some other goodies.

According to MSI reps, this interesting contraption will be touch-controlled, so no keys needed for changing the settings.

Here are some pictures of it.
