Found under the bonnet of update 10.6.7
There are some interesting rumours that Apple is planning to release some beefed up Macbooks.

MacRumors is reporting on a find by “tonymacx86” who was looking under the bonnet of the version of 10.6.7 and found support for several AMD graphics cards that are not currently shipped in any of Apple’s products. This means that Apple needs to support a new range of graphics cards in a future range.

The GPUs that have been found include:

ATI Radeon HD 5630 Device ID 0x68D8
ATI Radeon HD 5630 Device ID 0x68D9
ATI Radeon HD 5670 Device ID 0x68D8
ATI Radeon HD 5730 Device ID 0x68D8
ATI Radeon HD 5770 Device ID 0x68B8
ATI Radeon HD 5850 Device ID 0×6899
ATI Radeon HD 5870 Device ID 0×6898
AMD Radeon HD 6850 Device ID 0×6739
AMD Radeon HD 6870 Device ID 0×6738
AMD Radeon HD 6970 Device ID 0×6718

This graphics card range is a lot heavier than those currently available in MacBooks so it looks like Jobs' Mob thinks its Macbooks are not expensive enough or have a spec which is too low.
