Nvidia shares slide to $18.6

On Apple, market share news
Nvidia’s stock prices have been on a rollercoaster ride since mid-2010 and at press time it closed at $18.65.

Following a very strong showing in the aftermath of CES, when it peaked at $26.17, Nvidia quickly lost value and dropped to under $18 in mid-March. After a slight recovery, the bearish trend continued this week.

Nvidia shares dipped 4.7 percent yesterday on the back of disappointing market share figures and, perhaps more importantly, Apple’s announcement that it would use AMD GPUs in its new iMacs.

A year ago Nvidia traded at $14, but it dropped to less than $9 by the end of summer. Volumes have not been very high in recent days, but nonetheless analysts expect the stock to continue the slide over the next few days.
