Nvidia has announced the newest Geforce 327.23 WHQL-certified driver that brings logo-certification for Windows 8.1, a couple of performance improvements and fixes a few bugs and issues.

While not being a major update, the new Geforce 327.23 WHQL-certified driver will bring, as noted, logo-certification for Microsoft's Windows 8.1 OS as well as a bug-fix for Physix default device selection and a fix for a minor issue with 3D Vision viewer.

The performance improvements list, when compared to the Geforce 320.49, includes up to 15% in Dirt: Showdown on GTX 770, up to 19% in Dirt: Showdown on GTX 770 SLI, up to 11% in F1 2012 on GTX 770 SLI, and up to 6% in Tomb Raider and up to 6% in Tomb Raider on GTX 770. Nvidia also noted that there are performance improvements "across the board" but those were either too minor or just specific to certain system configurations so they were not detailed in the release notes.

The new Geforce 327.23 WHQL driver will be available for Windows 8, 7, Vista and the Windows XP in both 32-bit and 64-bit flavors and supports most of the GPUs since the times of Geforce 8000 series.
