Flagship GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming

Gigabyte has released yet another new Pascal based graphics card and this time it is the outfit;s new flagship GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming.

For those who came in late, the new GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme Gaming is a factory-overclocked GTX 1080 card, custom-designed PCB, strong VRM, and flash new design cooling system.

The cooling system mixes the WindForce Stack 3X cooler with three fans which are “stacked” to blast more coolness at the card.  It has lots of potential for more overclocking. Gigabyte says this patent-pending arrangement helps reduce turbulence which is rather handy if you take it on an aircraft.

There are no speeds listed for the card yet.  It would be a pretty good bet that it is about the same as the G1 Gaming edition. That card feature a base 1,695MHz clockspeed and boost 1,835MHz clockspeed in Gaming mode, and base and boost clockspeeds of 1,721MHz and 1,860MHz, respectively, in OC mode.

The card has RGB LED lighting with 16.8 million colors, Xtreme SLI bridge with light effect, Titan X-grade also features a rather niche metal back plate. It also has a four year warranty.

Gigabyte has a Premium Pack that includes a 5.25-inch drive bay with front-facing HDMI and USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI extension bracket, SLI bridge, mouse pad, wrist band, and logo sticker.

Strangely it is not telling the world how much it wants for it. Most of the other tech press we have seen has been banging on about how VR capable it is instead.
