Rogue card

The elusive video cards Nvidia has been touting for some time but no-one has ever seen have quietly made their way onto Australian market.

The card, which is going into the shops in April 17, is made by Albatron, and has a 675MHz core clock, 256MB of GDDR3 memory on a 128-bit memory interface and a 2000MHz memory frequency. We already confirmed these clocks a month ago here. It has a 32GB/s data bandwidth.

Another Australian online shop which showcases a $170.50 Australian, price tag for the Nvidia 8500GT ($170 US ), $257.40 for Nvidia 8600GT ($212 us)and $349 for Nvidia 8600GTS ($ 287 us). We learned before that Aussies cards tends to be more expensive than American ones.

We have since confirmed reports of one of these cards turning up in Germany. It seems that Nvidia have let a few out and most of the retail / etail partners will get its batch of cards this week.

More here.
