Zotac N-Fire 8800 GTX AMP! and N-Fire 8600 GTS Zone

Zotac has announced two new editions in their line of Nvidia Graphic solutions, the N-Fire graphic cards, Zone and AMP! editions.

Zotac's N-Fire Zone Edition is using silent heatpipe cooling, both sides of the card are cooled by a heatsinks, which should increase the cooling surface area. Zotac's N-Fire 8600 GTS Zone edition is as mentioned using a fan-less cooling solution, thus producing zero noise at 675MHz core clock and 2,000MHz GDDR3 memory clock.

The new 8600 GTS Zone edition comes with standard Nvidia features like the latest unified shader architecture with 32 unified pipelines for fast performance and a 128-bit memory interface, and it additionally offers Nvidia's SLI technology. An interesting thing about Zotac is that this card is the first one we saw that includes a DVI-HDMI adapter with full support for integrated digital sound over the SPDIF connector on the card. The card will be available in 256 and 512MB GDDR3 versions.

The second AMP! edition card from Zotac is the N-Fire 8800 GTX AMP! Edition. The card comes with an overclocked GPU, and works at 630MHz for the core and 2,000MHz for memory. "This graphics card features the latest unified shader architecture with 128 shader pipelines and a 384-bit memory interface, and additionally offers through Nvidia SLI Technology, the possibility to effectively double the performance." We are playing with one in the lab as we speak.
