Gecube
will have three version of its AGP Radeon HD 2600 cards. The top one will be
based on 2600XT the fastest of RV630 chip. It will be called GECUBE
HD2600XT, GDDR3, 256MB, Dual DVI (2 Dual Link, HDCP) Edition and we don’t know
the clock speeds. The model name of the card is GC-RX26XTGA3-D3.
The card will support AGP 8X motherboards and that is the
important part. The second in line is GECUBE HD2600PRO, DDR2, 512MB, Dual DVI
(2 Dual Link, HDCP) Edition model name GC-RX26PGA2-E3 and as the name says the
card has 512 MB of memory and uses DDR2 but again we don’t know the clock
speeds. It is an AGP 8X compatible version powered by rialto bridge chip.
The last but not the least is GECUBE HD2600PRO, DDR2, 256MB,
Dual DVI (2 Dual Link, HDCP) Edition model number GC-RX26PGA2-D3 that will
obviously be the cheapest of the all RV630 AGP based cards. I think you already learned that all cards supports HDCP and dual link DVI.
This will be one of the few cards that can playback Blu-ray
and HD DVD with its UVD video decoder and supports Vista premium and HDMI over
DVI including 5.1 audio on AGP. These cards should be ready in four weeks time.
