Club 3D has announced yet another card in their 8600 series. This time it is a passively cooled 8600GT GPU. As the Club 3D PR states it offers excellent HD video quality and 3D gaming power for noiseless HTPC, but most of the time we prefer low-profile solutions for HTPC's.

The mentioned G84 GPU with 32 Stream Processors, works at 540MHz, and the card comes with 512MB of GDDR2 memory, clocked at 1000MHz. Memory bandwidth is 128-bit, the same as all 8600 series cards. Card is cooled passively by what Club 3D PR calls, High Quality Passive Heatpipe Cooling. Sounds good, but as all other passive solutions this one also probably depends on good case cooling.

As the entire 8600 series, this card also supports DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4.0.
