Sparkle Computer has announced cards that should bring affordable upgrade solution to special PCI platform: It just launched two cards that use the plain PCI slot, Sparkle 8500 GT PCI and 7300 GT PCI graphic cards.

The first card is based on Nvidia's G86 GPU clocked at 450 MHz, with 16 stream processors at 900MHz shader clock, and a choice between 256MB or 512MB 128-bit DDR2 memory. The card comes with technologies like Nvidia's Lumenex Engine, Quantum Effects, and support for DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4.0. As the picture shows, 8500 GT has the SPDIF IN, if it ships with a DVI-HDMI adapter it would mean that you can have HDMI ready on a PCI card.

The second one is based on older G73 architecture, clocked at 350 MHz, and also with a choice between 256MB or 512MB of 128-bit DDR2 memory. As the entire 7 series, this card comes with a support for DirectX 9 and Shader Model 3.0.

Now only the AGP port is left without the DirectX 10 support. Even so these two cards sounds like a good and affordable solution for multiple monitor setups.
