Another one with the button

Sparkle has announced the new card in its Calibre series called Sparkle Calibre P860 Turbo. Besides the higher clocks which are the trademark of the Calibre series, Sparkle introduces the so called Frequency Conversion Turbo Button design. We saw the same thing on the MSI card that was announced recently, and you can check it out here.

Sparkle's new Calibre P860 Turbo based on the G84 GPU with 32 Stream Processors, or most commonly known as NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT. The new card features the dual video bios design which overclocks the card with a simple switch.

When put in the OC2 position card works at 580MHz for the core, 1500MHz for memory and 1404MHz for Shader clock. According to Sparkle this will give a 12% boost in 3DMark06. In the normal, OC1 mode, card slows down to reference 540MHz for the core, 1440MHz for memory and 1296MHz for Shader clock.

As the entire Geforce 8 series this card also features the support for DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4.0.
