Hit 'em with the price

ATI's upcoming RV670PRO will launch at a US$179 price, and as we've said before, it will give strong competition to the soon to be launched Geforce 8800 GT 256MB version.

This time around, Nvidia didn't change the default clocks of the card; instead, it just decided to put in half of the RAM. ATI, on the other hand, sells its RV670PRO as a lower clocked chip that could not hit the super fast 800MHz and make good use of them.

We believe that ATI will have to sell its RV670PRO based cards for less to steal the thunder from 256MB 8800 GT, and we believe this will be a tough battle for ATI.

ATI can bet on two things: DirectX 10.1 and UVD with native HDMI support.
