Intel's discrete

The word is that Larrabee, Intel’s first discrete graphics processor, will show its face in late 2008 and not in the middle of 2008, as many have believed.

Many Nvidia / ATI partners are planning to go for Intel's GPUs once it is available and we are sure that Intel plans to put a lot of money behind this interesting product. Every new product needs a big push and this one won’t be an exception.

Intel wants to become a big player in graphics and we still don’t know if anyone has taken the place of the VP of Intel’s Graphics Discrete Division. Intel needs someone who was doing this before and there is only a handful of people who can do that.

We wonder.
