Overclocked, yet affordable

EVGA has announced its 256MB version of 8800 GT. The new card from EVGA is factory overclocked and features the same design we saw in EVGA's 8800 GT 512MB versions.

The new 8800 GT comes with 256MB of GDDR3 memory clocked at reference 1.8GHz, while the core had a slight bump from reference 600MHz to 650MHz. The Shader clock has also been overclocked, from reference 1.5GHz to 1620MHz. This card is currently in stock on EVGA's web site shop for US$229.99, which is a great price if you don't want to play games on resolutions higher than 1280x1024. Newegg.com has it for US$214.99, but it is currently out of stock.

This looks like a good and affordable card, but only if you manage to find it in stock. You can check out additional info here.
