Affordable

If you want a great graphics card and you want to spend under €200 you can go out and buy a Radeon 3870 from Gigabyte and it will cost you only €168.

This is an incredible price for a lot of graphics power and this will definitely put a lot of pressure on Nvidia’s 9600GT and 8800 series products.

At the same time 3850 512MB sunk down to just under €150, while Radeon 3850 256MB is available for €136. We expect that they will go even further down with the price, as RV670 is the only mainstream / performance chip that ATI planned for the first half of 2008.

ATI will now fight with prices as we expect that 9600GT should be a very successful chip. Nvidia’s problem now is that Geforce 9800 GX2 is still not launched and it might come even after Cebit.

You can find and order some of the sub-€200 3870 cards here.
