Sparkle is the first partner to announce a passively cooled 9600GT card. This one will come in two flavors, depending on whether you want HDMI with audio via SPDIF IN or without it. Sparkle is also prepping two plain, reference cooled 9600GT cards, again with the same HDMI or no HDMI choices.

Unfortunately, all of these cards from Sparkle will work at reference clocks, 650MHz for the core, 1625MHz for Shaders and 1800MHz for 512MB of GDDR3 memory. It looks like Sparkle's decision was to concentrate on passive cooling and not on higher clocks. The passive one will use Sparkle's cool-pipe passive cooler, which features a single slot heatsink which is connected via three heatpipes to another heatsink located on the card's back.

Anyway, Sparkle claims the crown for being the first partner to announce a passive 9600GT card, and a lot of people like their systems to be as silent as they can be.
