A few sources indicate

Larrabee is a part of a Power Point presentation and we agree with Nvidia's funny comment, but it has a big chance of becoming the real thing in 2009.

One thing is now clear, with support for DirectX and OpenGL API Larrabee-based products with a display out will be gaming devices.

We still don’t know how Intel plans to make a decent gaming driver, as this problem needs time to solve, but at the same time we heard different rumors claiming that Intel has between 800 and 1,200 engineers trying to make the hardware and software for the Larrabee card.

Larrabee as a retail product won’t hit the shelves before the 1H of 2009, although we wouldn’t be surprised if it gets delayed to 2H 2009; but it is coming.
