Nvidia plans to launch its 9800GTX on the first day of April. The new old card will replace the 8800GTS and it will launch with a higher clock speed, a bit better performance and 3-Way SLI support.
The suggested e-tail price in America will be $299, which is about 50 bucks more than the current price of a Geforce 8800GTS.
We believe that the Geforce 9800GTX has a great chance of being a successful card, as it will score well and it doesn’t cost a fortune, but it won’t be a viable upgrade option for those that already own a Geforce 8800GT or 8800GTS card.
