Nvdia has launched a new driver and has decided to call it 174.53 WHQL, and this driver brings a few new things. The two most significant ones are official support for the Geforce 9600GT and Geforce 9800 GX2, as well as Quad-SLI under Vista 64 and 32-bit.

This driver also brings in Pure Video HD features for the Geforce 9800 GX2. Pure Video HD can now cope with Dynamic Contrast Enhancement, Dynamic Blue, Green & Skin Tone Enhancements and Dual-Stream Decode Acceleration.

Nvidia also claims support for Microsoft Vista Aero display mode compatibility for Blu-ray & HD DVD playback, but you will need a third-party movie player to experience the new Dual-Stream decode acceleration and Aero support for the Blu-ray and HD DVD playback features.
