SLI and Tri-SLI available

As Nvidia's GTX 280 has finally been released, OEMs such as HP and Dell's Alienware have updated their lineup with these new GPUs.

Alienware will offer the GTX 280 in three Area-51 models: the Area-51, Area-51 ALX and Area-51 7500. All of these systems can be equipped with one, two or three of these newborn babies.

The Area-51 7500 will be able to take only a single GTX 280 card, while the top-offered Area-51 ALX is the one that will be able to do some Tri-SLI fun. In case you're wondering how many dead presidents you'll have to part with for a three-way SLI setup, the ALX Tri-SLI option adds US $1,700 to the price. You can find the listing here.

HP has prepped its new Blackbird 002 model that will feature two of these cards packed and ready for some SLI action. Other specs of this new Blackbird 002 system include Intel's QX9770 CPU at 3.2GHz, nForce 790i SLI Ultra motherboard and 2GB of memory.

The price for the HP system starts at US $6,600 and you can find the new Blackbird here.
