More mobile phones sold in Q2

Nokia's strongman Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo says that for the first time the mobile phone maker has shipped more phones to India than the US in Q2.

India is expected to reach 211 million subscriptions this year, and China will hit half a billion pretty soon too.

According to Nokia, India's mobile market is growing rapidly, and it expects a 15 percent sale increase in the Asia-Pacific region this year. Just two years ago India was fourth, behind the US, PRC, and UK.

The company also has several production facilities in the country, and it plans to open a new plant next year.
