Should come in Q2

According to the report at Twice, Garmin/Asus Nüvifone won't be coming in June, as it has been pushed back to "sometime" in the second half of the year. The G60, Linux powered version looked and worked great back at CeBIT, but it looks like developing a custom Linux platform is not an easy task.

As we wrote back at Cebit, Nüvifone will be coming out in two versions, the Linux powered G60 and the M20 that runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional platform. During its conference call, Garmin revealed that the phones are currently in test phase of the certification process and that carriers are very interested in these smartphones.

During CeBIT we had a chance to try out the Linux version and it worked flawlessly but we guess that we did not spend enough time with it to find those certain bugs that Garmin/Asus needs to tweak.

The precise date has not been revealed and the only known fact is that the Linux G60 comes before the Windows Mobile M20.
