RIM confirms launch of Mac version of software

From the land of BlackBerry we learned a couple of new things from our sources. Perhaps the biggest of which is that we can expect to see the BlackBerry Storm 2 arrive for Verizon sometime in late October. According to our insiders, you can expect to see it show up just after October 25th. No pricing has been set for it yet, but it is now confirmed to arrive in that time frame.

Next is perhaps one of the biggest things that those who happen to own a BlackBerry and also have a Mac have been waiting for. The Mac version of the BlackBerry Desktop Manager is confirmed to be released on October 2nd at approximately 1 P. M. Eastern Standard Time. According to our sources, the reason for the delays had more to do with the swatting of some final bugs than it did with anything else.

It looks like AT&T will be getting a new version of the BlackBerry Bold decked out in white, according to our sources. While the actual release date has yet to be revealed, it is already in the AT&T system, so it can’t be too far off. Also, the release of the 9700 is just around the corner, so hang in there; it looks as though the release date is drawing closer, according to those in the know.
