New White iPhone hard to make

by on24 June 2010

Will be delayed till 2nd half of July
Did you know that it is harder to make a white colored 4th generation iPhone than a black colored 4th generation iPhone? Neither did we, but our friends in the Apple tree tell us that this is the case; and because it is the case, the only availability that Apple has for the 4th generation iPhone models is in the black color for the time being.

According to sources, Apple will still offer the white iPhones, but from what we hear the white model will be delayed till at least the second half of July till Apple starts getting them in ample numbers. Our sources can’t explain specifically what is going on, but beyond it being blamed on a manufacturing problem, we will likely never know.

We have no idea how this affects pre-orders or those who have already ordered the white version of the 4G iPhone, but we suspect that many of them will also be waiting.
