Breaking out of Jobs' walled garden
IphoneUnlocking.com announced today that they have successfully unlocked over one million iPhones worldwide. While Apple has flogged a lot of iPhones, the one million unlocked figure is important, because it indicates that not everyone really wants to live in Steve's Walled Garden of Delights.

iPhone Unlocking Ltd was established in late 2007 and was one of the first companies to offer a complete, fully functional iPhone Unlock. It has been given a fairly high media profile and comes with some pretty good 3rd party applications. These include MMS Messaging, Video Recording, GPS Navigation and many more.

So far the software is only capable of unlocking the latest 3G iPhone for use on any network provider worldwide. The outfit said that the iPhone is an amazing product but it is by no means perfect. “But with the use of our product it is a lot closer,” the press release says.

More perfect than Steve's. That is heresy.
