HTC working on Windows Phone Mango devices

Fledgling OS get new breath of life
HTC CEO Peter Chou announced Wednesday that HTC is developing a new line of Windows Phone Mango handsets.

HTC was one of the first phone makers to embrace Redmond’s new OS, but sadly Windows Phone 7 has largely failed to meet expectations. With under a million shipped handsets since launch, sales were unimpressive, but the Mango update could help turn things around.

Chou told Reuters that HTC was very committed to Windows Phone products, but he did not go into specifics. He did not comment the launch schedule, but there is a good chance the new phones could appear sooner rather than later.
