First official Helio P10 phone

Lenovo has launched its Lenovo K5 Note which is probably the world's first Helio P10 phone.

Lenovo is an important customer for MediaTek and the Lenovo K5 Note is a big win. Our sources are quite sure that it will be at least a few more weeks before this phone starts shipping. So far this is a "China only device." It is priced at 1099 Chinese Yuan (153.87 Euro / 167 USD) so the price is definitely attractive.

The phone comes with a 5.5 inch full HD 1920x1080 IPS display and 1.8GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 SoC. It has 2GB Ram, 16GB storage with microSD support up to 128GB. It ships with Android 5.1 and like most of phones out of China, it has dual SIM support. The phone supports a Fingerprint sensor which is a must in 2016 phones. It has a 4G Cat 6 modem offering 300 Mbit download and 50 Mbit upload, dual ban 802.11ac WiFI, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

The phone has 13 megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and an 8 megapixel front facing camera. It measures 152×75.7×8.49mm and comes with a 3500 mAh battery. The K5 note supports Dolby ATMOS and VoLTE. We are unsure if any of the Chinese networks supports VoLTE. If they do, the option is there. We are not sure how you put Dolby ATMOS on a phone, but Lenovo claims it is there.

The best case scenario is that the phones will start reaching customers in early March, but that sounds a bit optimistic.
