Official picture of LG G6 smartphone revealed

by on24 January 2017

Full reveal set for February 26th

It appears that LG will definitely try to get all the coverage it can for its upcoming LG G6 smartphone at the MWC 2017 show, and today, the first official picture of the smartphone has found its way online.

Since it is now confirmed that Samsung won't be bringing its flagship to Mobile World Congress 2017 show in Barcelona, you can't blame LG for trying to get as much spotlight as possible with its upcoming G6 smartphone.

Exclusively revealed by The Verge, the LG G6 will be built around a 5.7-inch, QuadHD+ 2880x1440 panel with a 2:1 aspect ratio and rather thin bezels, at least if you believe the revealed rendered picture and earlier information coming from LG. The screen-to-bezel ratio is set at over 90 percent.

The body of the G6 will be made entirely out of glass and metal and the smartphone will be waterproof. This also means that it won't have a replaceable battery but at least it will have a headphone jack.

Earlier rumors also suggest that the LG G6 will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 SoC with Adreno 450 GPU and 4GB of RAM.

LG has already sent out the invitation for its event, scheduled for February 26th.
