Coming at Unpacked event on August 23rd

Samsung has officially sent out invites for its next Unpacked event scheduled for August 23rd in New York City, where it will announce its new Galaxy Note 8 smartphone.

While the invitation does not reveal much, the tagline saying "Do bigger things" and the stylus most certainly points to the Galaxy Note 8. In case you missed earlier rumors, the Galaxy Note 8 is expected to pack a 5.7-inch 3840x2160 2:1 Infinity Display protected by Gorilla Glass 5 and be powered by both the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC and Samsung's own Exynos 8895 SoC, depending on the version.

The rest of the rumors include IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, stylus (which is confirmed by the invitation), 64/128GB storage and even a dual-camera setup, which was the biggest surprise in the freshly leaked renders.

In any case, the date is marked for August 23rd and hopefully, Samsung has made sure that the Galaxy Note 8 won't suffer the same fate as the Galaxy Note 7.
