Intel roadmap:
In Q2 2008

You don't need to be in Bejing to learn about Intel's future plans. Intel is about to launch the Santa Rosa platform, but we got our hands on some Q2 2008 plans. Santa Rosa will  be replaced by Montevina DT. This platform uses Penryn Dual Core CPU,  future Cantiga GM or PM Chipset, and Intel Gigabit and Wireless Lan.

All these components are Viiv compatible. Intel has a new features called Turbo Memory, but this stuff is optional.

Santa Rosa is the platform that Intel plans to introduce any day now and it uses Core 2 Duo T7x00 processors,  Intel GM965 and PM965 express chipsets, Intel Gigabit and Wireless LAN and Intel Turbo Memory as an optional feature.

Santa Rosa should hold the water untill Q2 next year, when it will be replaced by Montevina DT.
