The dogs bollocks, or?

What appears to be the most anticipated X38 board, the Asus Republic of Gamers Maximus Formula has appeared on a Taiwanese hardware forum and they've got plenty of pictures from every angle.

It doesn't seem to have any really distinguishing features apart from a very massive heatsink over the northbridge which is connected to another heatsink that vents the heat out the back of the case.

It's got the standard fair of R.O.G. such as the little LCD display seen on the Blitz series, as well as the rear CMOS reset button and the easy to access power and reset buttons. Oddly enough, this high-end board lacks eSATA all together, which is something of a bummer.

The board has two x16 PCIe 2.0 slots, two x1 slots, as the little black slot is for Asus audio riser board and two PCI slots. Considering the price tag of this board, we're not really impressed so far, but as we haven't seen the bundle, or the performance, we're not going to be too hasty.
