Taiwanese overclocker has the goods

It turns out that the famous Taiwanese overclocker Coolaler has some pictures of MSI's upcoming RD790 board, the K9A2 Platinum and there's even some BIOS pictures which indicates that this board is already up and running.

The board features four x16 PCI Express slots, although it looks like if you want to use all four slots, then they'll operate in x8 mode, as there are some digital switches on the board, of the type seen on second generation SLI boards and there are two lots of four of these chips.

The board also features a single x1 PCI Express slot and two PCI slots. Other features includes a total of six internal SATA ports, two of which appear to be connected to a Promise controller and two eSATA ports. Dual Ethernet ports, FireWire, 7.1-channel sound with S/PDIF out and heatpipe cooling is also part of the package.

It looks like a pretty decent board and Coolaler and friends have also managed to score a Phenom X4 which is clocked at 1.8GHz on a nine times mulitiplier on a 200MHz bus.
