Although we're a little bit late with this piece of news, MSI has launched a single CPU Opteron motherboard that supports the latest generation of processors from AMD, the K9NU-Speedster.

The board has no less than eight memory slots which supports up to 32GB of DDR2 533/667 Registered ECC modules. It also has a pair of x16 PCIe slots, two x1 slots and two standard PCI slots.

Although MSI is offering what appears to be a 1U server chassis to go with the board, this looks like a very good workstation board in our opinion. It also features heatpipe cooling for the chipset.

Other features include onboard XGI Volari Z7 graphics wtih 32MB of memory, dual Gigabit Ethernet and of course SLI support thanks to the Nvidia nForce Pro 3400 chipset.
