ASUS' Striker II Extreme pixelized

Revealed specs for both Extreme and NSE version

 

Our colleagues from Donanimhaber.com have managed to score a first picture of Asus' Striker II Extreme motherboard based on Nvidia's nForce 790i Ultra SLI chipset.

This motherboard comes with three PCIe X16 slots, two PCI and two PCIe x1 slots. The PCIe x1 slot, which is first and located right by the Nortbridge, is reserved for SupremeFX II, a dedicated audio card. The mentioned NSE version, which is based on Nvidia nForce 790i SLI chipset, comes with support for up to 8GB of DDR3 1600/1333/1066/800 memory, where 1600 is an overclocking option. The high-end Extreme version has support for same 8GB of DDR3 ranging from 800MHz all the way to 2000MHz with 1600, 1800 and 2000MHz as overclocking option.

Other specs include six SATA 3.0Gb/s ports, two eSATA, dual Gigabit LAN, ten USB 2.0 ports, two IEEE 1394a ports, on-board switches for power, reset and clr CMOS. It is cooled by Asus' ROG fusion block system. You can check out additional info on Donanimhaber.com forum here.
