The 790i Ultra is just around the corner

VR-Zone has managed to get their hands on the new Striker II Extreme from Asus, based on the upcoming 790i Ultra chipset from Nvidia, and they've done a pretty good preview of the features of the board and the BIOS, but alas, there are no benchmarks.

It looks like a pretty good board with loads of tweaking options for those that are interested in overclocking their system. Considering that this is Asus' new flagship product with an Nvidia chipset, it seems somewhat underwhelming considering that it will retail for a massive €300+.

It looks like Asus is supplying quite a nice bundle with the board, though, although it hardly makes up for the price tag; but as the 790i Ultra chipset is more expensive than Intel's X48 chipset, it's no wonder that the boards based on this chipset will be expensive, as well.
