Dual PCI-Express slots and Hybrid SLI

Zotac has recently jumped the gun on Nvidia's Nforce 750a chipset, and we were able to score a picture of it. The new motherboard comes with dual PCI-Express slots and support for Nvidia's Hybrid SLI, Hybrid Power and so-called Geforce Boost technology.

In theory, Quad-SLI with two Geforce 9800GX2 cards is possible, but bear in mind that these two PCI-Express slots work in x8 mode when paired. Other specs include support for AMD's AM2+ Phenom, Athlon and Sempron single, dual, tri and quad-core processors, four DDR2 memory slots, two PCI-Express x1 and two plain PCI slots, six SATA and one PATA port and 12 USB 2.0 ports.

This motherboard is completely silent, as it uses a big, low profile heatsink which is located between SATA ports, but it shouldn't interfere with two PCI-Express slots. This chipset comes with DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4.0 support, and the rear panel includes VGA and HDMI ports. It is nice to see that Nvidia didn't give up on AMD, since the last one was Nforce 590 that was released back in 2006.
