Nvidia's last Intel chipset?

Taking all the rumors circling around at the moment, it's possible that the MCP7A-series will be Nvidia's last Intel chipset family, although we have a feeling that this isn't the case. Digitimes is reporting that Nvidia is set to announce the MCP7A-series in August, although according to their source, the new chipset family won't hit retail until September.

The first chipsets to arrive will be the nForce 730i, the Geforce 9300 and Geforce 9400. The nForce 730i lacks integrated graphics unlike the other two chipsets. Common features include support for 1,333MHz FSB, DDR2 and DDR3 memory support, although this will depend on the chipset version and PCIe 2.0 support.

The IGP on the Geforce 9300 is meant to be clocked at 450MHz with its Shaders at 1,200MHz, while the Geforce 9400 gets clocked at 580MHz with the Shaders at 1,500MHz. Both IGP's support DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4.0 and according to Digitimes we're looking at 16 stream processors. In terms of display connectivity you're looking at D-sub, DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort support, although the exact mix comes down to the motherboard manufacturers.
