For the win

EVGA has announced yet another motherboard in its FTW series, the nForce 790i SLI FTW. It supports Core 2 Duo/Quad/Extreme processors and DDR3 memory with speeds of up to 2,000MHz. As we are talking about Nvidia’s 790i SLI chipset this motherboard is ready for some SLI or even Tri-SLI action.

As a part of FTW series, this motherboard features some extras over the reference nForce 790i SLI motherboard, like 8-phase power design, 100% solid capacitors, ferrite core chokes and Vdroop control. Unlike Nvidia’s reference motherboard which came with seven SATA ports, the new EVGA FTW motherboard got boosted to nine SATA ports.

EVGA went a bit further as they decided to include a new sideways exhaust cooling system which looks as it might be much better than the one found on the reference motherboard. The new FTW motherboard will also feature a specially designed ad-enhanced BIOS as we are talking about the motherboard which Vince "k|ngp|n" Lucido used to smash the 3DMark06 world record with 32,719 points. As was the case with the previous FTW products, this one is also probably made by the ex-Epox team of people which are now working for EVGA.

The new EVGA 790i SLI FTW is currently available under the 132-YW-E179-A1 part number and the price stands at US$299.99. You can check it out here.
