Good, better and the best

MSI plans to reveal three X58 motherboards and the cheaper one with the least features will be known as Platinum. Platinum comes with two PCIe 16X slots and it supports Crossfire and SLI. The board comes with DR Mos Vrams and active phase switching, but it won’t come with Hi-C capacitors as it wouldn’t be able to hit that price segment.

Eclipse is the second model to follow and this is an enthusiast motherboard also has Active phase switching and DR Mos Vrams and it comes with three PCIe 16X slots. It also supports software SLI, Crossfire and this one comes with Hi Caps on VRM, X-Fi extreme sound, GreenPower Genie and D-LED2.

The last board still doesn’t have any name but it is segmented for Über overclockers and it will have all the features of Platinum with addition of four PCIe 16X slots, hardware Nforce 200 SLI chip and, naturally, support for Three-Way SLI + Physics and Crossfire.

MSI X58 Platinum and Eclipse will launch together with Nehalem, so you can expect it to be ready by November.
