Launches two Winki motherboards

Back at Cebit, MSI unveiled an instant-on Linux OS, dubbed Winki, and now it has launched three motherboards with the featherweight OS.

Winki boots off an internal flash drive, and offers punters some basic connectivity with Firefox, an IM client, VOIP and a photo viewer. So far MSI is offering Winki on two AM3 boards, the 790GX-G65 and 790FX-GD70, and there's no word on any upcoming Intel products.

We're not really sure Winki makes much sense on desktops, but it could be a welcome addition to MSI's Wind netbook series.
