Via add-in card

As SATA 6.0Gbps was supposedly having some problems thanks to the rumored issues with the Marvell chip which was removed from certain Asus and Gigabyte motherboards, ASRock has come up with a rather simple but quite practical solution, a SATA 6.0Gbps add-in card which will be bundled with its P55 Deluxe motherboard.

The add-in card also comes with a Marvell controller and needs an extra PCI-Express x1 slot, but in return it provides you with either two internal SATA 6.0Gbps, or one internal and one external eSATA connector. While the SATA 6.0Gbps devices are yet to be released, this sounds like a perfect solution.

We wouldn't be surprised to see some other manufacturers on the same road, as this is currently the best way of implementing SATA 6.0Gbps to new motherboards, at least for now.
