Concept MB with Lucid Hydra chip

At Computex Asus showed a rather interesting concept with Republic of Gamers tag, the ROG Immensity motherboard. The Immensity is based on Intel's X58 chipset, but it features built-in discreet ATI Radeon HD 5000 series graphics as well as Lucid's Hydra chip.

The Immensity comes with all of the features that you would expect from a motherboard with Asus' ROG tag, and even more due to a rather unique implementation of Lucid's Hydra chip. It comes with two PCI-Express 2.0 x16 slots which is connected to both of those PCI-Express slots and the discreet Radeon HD 5000 series GPU with dedicated GDDR3 memory. This gives it the unique ability to use any other GPU plugged in one of those PCI-Express slots and pair it up with the integrated Radeon HD 5000 series GPU.

Other noted specs include a 8-phase VRM, two SATA 6Gbps ports, USB 3.0 ports, Bluetooth, Gigabit Ethernet, 7.1-channel integrated audio, four PCI-Express x1 slots, and that recognizable red on black colour scheme.

It is still unclear whether this one will ever show up in retail but it certainly looks quite interesting.
