Several Llano boards listed and priced in EU

Pretty affordable and feature packed
A quick glance on our favourite price search engine reveals that upcoming Llano boards could end up rather cheap.

Although several vendors have already announced their first Llano boards, we weren’t sure about the pricing. No the final pieces of the puzzle are coming into place and as expected Llano motherboards will end up on the cheap side.

ASRock’s cheapest A75M-HSV board is listed at just €61. It’s  an unspectacular mATX board based on the A75 FCH and it packs one PCIe 2.0 x16, one PCIe 2.0 x1 and one PCI slot. It offers VGA and HDMI connectivity, along with 4 USB 3.0 ports and 2 USB 2.0 ports. It is a solid capacitor design and the only thing to complain about is the presence of just two DDR3 memory slots. A somewhat more serious version, dubbed A75M, comes with an additional PCI slot and eSATA 6Gbps support.

Interestingly, ASRock’s feature packed A75 Pro4 is also quite cheap and it is listed at €84. This is a proper ATX board with two PCIe 2.0 x16 slots, along with three PCIs and two PCIe 2.0 x1. It also features four memory slots, as well as VGA, DVI, HDMI outputs, Firewire, eSATA, all solid capacitors, and a bunch of less important features.

Gigabyte’s mATX GA-A75M-UD2H is the priciest Llano board on the list and it goes for €107. Interestingly, it is already available at said price in Austria. It features four DDR3 slots, two PCIe 2.0 x16 slots, along with VGA, DVI, HDMI and Displayport. There’s also the usual array of USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports, as well as Firewire and eSATA.

It seems that Llano motherboards will offer an impressive feature set at a discount, at least compared to similarly priced Intel offerings.  Bear in mind that we are talking about preliminary pricing and the prices could end up a bit lower as the boards become readily available.
