DDR4 board selling for €339

The Asus X99-Deluxe motherboard has popped up on several EU retail sites and German shop Caseking says it already has the board in stock, priced at €339.

The high-end Socket 2011-3 board boasts a total of eight DDR4 PC-24000U memory slots, along with five PCIe 3.0 x16 slots, a single PCIe 2.0 x4 slot and an M.2 32GBps slot. There’s a total of ten external USB 3.0 ports and two USB 2.0 ports, backed by four internal USB 3.0 slots and six USB 2.0 slots. There are 12 SATA 6Gbps ports and two SATA Express 10Gbps ports.

The board sports Realtek 7.1 channel audio, support for RAID 0/1/5/10, along with support for 3-way Crossfire and SLI. On board you’ll also find LAN, 802.11ac WLAN, Bluetooth 4.0 and a few other goodies.

Of course, we expect nothing less from a €339 motherboard, as that sort of money can buy a decent system nowadays. This is a premium board for proper enthusiasts who don’t mind paying a premium to upgrade to Intel’s new Haswell-E processors, which should launch any day now with prices starting around €375
