Studio XPS 7100 packs shiny new six-core
Dell has apparently started shipping the Studio XPS 7100, a high end desktop based on AMD's 1035T six-core.
The 2.6GHz Phenom II X6 1035T was not supposed to appear until the
third quarter, but it appears that AMD has already shipped some
quantities of the new processor to OEMs.
CPU World has worked out that the 1035 costs $174, or $25 less than the
current 1055T. It sounds like great value for all users who depend on
heavily threaded applications.
