New COD: Black Ops 4 bundle and some stats so far

Sony is celebrating the fifth birthday of the Playstation 4 and has both announced a  new bundle and revealed some numbers regarding the aging console.

With over 2 million consoles sold

Black Friday is probably one of the biggest shopping days and it appears Sony's Playstation 4 was a big hit with over 2 million consoles sold.

"PS4 Slim" refresh along with 4K PlayStation Neo

Over the weekend, new images emerged of a second PlayStation 4 console that Sony is expected to release next month alongside its anticipated mid-generation hardware refresh known collectively as the “PlayStation Neo” or 4K-capable PlayStation 4.

Released on October 21 with early access on October 18

Battlefield 4 was a great game and its prequel, Battlefield 1 will give us a great reason to open our wallets. 

Pretty much as we have predicted

Sony has official confirmed the rumours that it is building a 4K VR-friendly flavour of the Playstation.

20 million units in fiscal 2016

Sony has quite an aggressive forecast as the company plans to sell 20 million PlayStation 4 units in fiscal 2016. This should represent a healthy 8.3 percent increase year over year. 

You also need a $59 game 

The Sony PlayStation VR's price tag of $399 / € 399 sounded too great to be true. It looks like that is going to be the minimum you will have to fork out. 

Worldwide numbers

Sony has confirmed that it has sold more than sold more than 30.2 million PlayStation 4  consoles

€350 for rest of Europe, $350 US

The holiday shopping season has started and Sony has decided to cut its prices for about €50 in Europe to catch up with the recent price drop in the US.

Calls for more experts

The maker of the PS4, Sony appears to be wanting to update its devkits and is looking for an experienced programmer to work on GPU Profiling and Debugging tools used by PlayStation 4 developers worldwide.
