Claims up to 6 hours of battery life
MSI officially launched its WindPad 100W 10.1-inch tablet based on Intel Menlow Z530 CPU and shed some additional details regarding it.

In addition to the 10.1-inch multi-touch 1024x600 screen and Intel Menlow Z530 CPU clocked at 1.6GHz, the new Windpad 100W will have 2GB of memory in a single SO-DIMM slot, 32GB of SSD space, 802.11bgn WiFi, Bluetooth, SD card reader, mini-HDMI output, USB and headphone in/out ports and two web cams. It will be running on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit OS.

The device measures 274x173x18.5mm and it weighs in at 800 grams with the battery. It has a 2-cell battery that can provide "± 6hr battery life", at least according to MSI. It has a G-sensor and  ALS light sensor for automatic brightness adjustment. It comes preloaded with Microsoft Office Starter (Word+Excel 2010), Adobe Reader + flash player, and bunch of MSI applications including the Easy Face, Photo easy viewer and MSI magnifier toolbar.

The official price is set at €599 (for Germany) but we've heard that it showed up in certain markets for as low as €549, so you might want to check out your local retail/e-tail shops.

Waiting for a Zacate version that will kill this model performance wise. ;-)

There's no point in launching ANY Atom based NetBook or TabletPC as long as Brazos is in the market.

I pity the fools buying such low performance piece of Intel sh*t.

Windows 7 + Atom + intel IGP = Instant fail

Seens MSI doesn't have pride and want their brand to be associated with sub-par performance.

Put a Ontario there, that's the only choice (the other one is ARM).
